Née en Belgique en 1938, Martine Franck avait rejoint l'agence Magnum Photos en 1983.
Elle était co-fondatrice de la Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, qu'elle présidait.
Elle est surtout connue pour ses photos de voyage, des portraits d'artistes ou d'écrivains.

Well known for portraits of artists and writers, reportages.
